“The will to win is not nearly as important as the will to prepare to win.”
Jeremy grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, where he discovered his passion for tennis watching his sister, Mara, excel quickly and at the highest level. As a player, Jeremy has held the #1 spot in the Midwest, #2 in the country, had a 5th place finish at the Orange Bowl, and obtained a Silver Ball at the USTA Nationals.
Jeremy received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he held the #1 singles and doubles position most of his college career, receiving First Team All Big Ten honors, as well as and honorable mention for Freshman of the Year. Jeremy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in theatre and drama.
Following college, Jeremy appeared on the Broadway National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Moving back to Chicago, Jeremy has performed on many Chicago stages, favorites being Steppenwolf and Lookingglass, as well as working regionally around the country.
In 2018, Jeremy returned to the ATP tour where, within a year, he reached a career high of 818 in the world and won a doubles title, after a ten year competing hiatus.
As a coach, Jeremy has coached players from the entry level, regionally, nationally, ITF, professionally, and into college scholarships at some of the nations top universities. It is his mission to, no matter the player, help them to realize and believe in themselves and their potential, both on and off the court, understand what and how it means to be a competitor, to embrace disappointment as the opportunity to grow and develop, and to allow players to be, authentically, themselves and to maximize their individuality to conquer any challenge that presents itself to overcome.
Jeremy could not be more ecstatic to be joining the team at Glenbrook Racquet Club, is forever grateful to Christi for the opportunity, and is ready to continue making tennis on the North Shore a force to be reckoned with!
